Omg this place is insanely delicious. We ordered so much food and it all came out with a quickness! The lobby filled quick with people ordering and with not many staff members they moved so fast. Hands down the best crab Rangoons ever. Don't sleep on those. For sure going back every time I'm in the city.

I have no idea why the dim sum at this Hawaiian-Chinese hybrid restaurant is so great, but it is. Bouncy skin har gow, flavorful siu mai with chunks of meat and shrimp, turnip cakes with tons of turnip, generous sticky rice and filling in the tasty sesame balls--spot on in a way I haven't had in a long time (including at some SF casual hot spots). 5 stars mainly because I haven't seen this level of quality in a more casual dim sum eatery a long time. They were as expected out of their baked pork buns that they seem to be known for (along with some other things), so will have to come for them next time. Ambience and service a step above some similar spots. Kudos

3 orders of siu mai, 2 orders of har gow, 1 order of chicken feet, 1 order of xiao long bao, 1 order of pork ribs & rice, and 1 order of shrimp rice noodle rolls ($48.85) This was sooo good! The siu mai is our favorite, it was so flavorful. The skin of the har gow was nice and chewy. They sadly didn't have the red vinegar that goes with the xiao long bao and my boyfriend thought it was ok.

I was surprised when I found another dim sum place that I liked within proximity distance on this stretch of Clement since I don't like any of the ones from across the street either because of service or sanitary reasons. Or both. I really hope I don't get disappointed again. The food from Red A seems to be mostly made to order. The wonton soup was tasty and one of my favs here. The sesame balls are also pretty good. I have never tried their "Hawaiian" menu but maybe I will do so one of these days. Ambiance is hole-in-the-wall but with ample seating so you can eat in. Service seems straightforward and good.

I use to come here all the time to get spam musubi's. this time I stopped by to get an assortment of dim sum and everything was so good. Everything tasted so fresh, especially the shrimp dumpling skin. Everything was packed with a lot of flavor, and I would definitely come back. Service is fast and efficient and I was able to get my order immediately for a big portion. Prices have been going up, but that goes with all dim sum places.

Parking on Clement is a bit challenging but workable. As for Red A Dim Sum my order was a mix of Dim Sum items, Siu Mai , Fried Spring Rolls and Dumplings all of which were very well prepared and I'd happily order again. As for the staff they were friendly, and easy to communicate with , plus the shop was clean, not crowded. On future visits I would like to sample their Noodle Rolls & Hawaiian Plates.

Usually I run in 5 minutes before closing and everything's sold out. So today I arrive early to have my heart's desire: Dim sum. Service was super friendly and dim sum was fresh with nicely thin wrappers. The shrimp was especially fresh. You'd have to be a vegetarian to say "no" to the beautiful pan of just-out-of-the-oven baked BBQ pork buns. I mean, look at them, perfection. Like a pillowy donut, the bao was fluffy, toothsome and sweet and stuffed with slightly fatty BBQ pork. It was the best ratio of bao/pork I've ever had in a city swimming with epic baked pork buns. These might be the very best. I'm ready to try loco moco, one of those dishes made for a rainy day. They have lots of different rice plates, soups and even congee. Lots of tables for dine in or grab 'n go. Prices are reasonable and quality is tops. I believe they accept debit cards.

Picked up some HUGE BBQ pork buns and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings for the office and they were so fluffy and tasty. The Holidays is a great time for office snacks and these ones were a winner. Since they were so big, we split them into halves, so everyone could try them. Some people have never had a pork bun before, so this was a great experience. We also got a couple orders of the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings as well. I would definitely come back for more dim sum to go!

A good place to grab a quick, cheap bite, Red A Dim Sum offers a lot of food options, ranging from Hamburgers to Wonton Soup. We opted for more of their Hawaiian BBQ options (BBQ Chicken Sandwich, BBQ Chicken Plate). I wouldn't say this place is somewhere to look for fine dining, great service, or a nice ambiance. However, if you want affordable food that is filling and comes in a generous amount, this is thee place. The BBQ chicken for both plates was tender, seasoned perfectly. The Mac salad was pretty good. The bread for the BBQ chicken sandwich was meh, but at least it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Rice was cooked perfectly for the plate.
